How do I match the properties of one line to the other. I thought I had it figured out but the two lines I am trying to match have different linetype scales. Hidden lines. One is showing at a large scale and the other is so small it is showing continuous unless you zoom in tight.

Also, how do you create a group out of a number of entities?

Thanks.
I am feeling frustrated now.

The easiest way to have one entity Match another is to go to:

Change
Match
All

Pick the line you want to change, then pick the line you want to match.

To group entities go to:

The Edit Menu
F8 Group (pre v11 LinkEnt)

Then select the entities you want to be grouped.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Now how do you offset a line perpendicular to itself a specified distance.

Thanks again. :D

Go to the Geometry Menu

Select Offset

Make sure Dynamic is Off and select Perpendicular Distance

Enter your distance and then select the line you want to offset.

Hope this helps

Hello Fred:

Go to Geometry/Offset/Perpendicular. You can put this in the DcadWin.MCR file and use Alt-O as a shortcut:

O^Ä^20#^F3^F2^F2

...that is if you are using v11. It is possible in earlier versions -- but the macro is different.

Thanks again for the help.

On the match command. I seem to have a problem putting an entity or group on another layer.

I do the change/match/all. However the layer does not match up with what I am selecting.

Help???

Change doesn't affect Layers. You have to Move entities to a layer.

If you go to the Move Menu you will see a button labeld "To Layer".

Kinda like viewing Layers as locations or destinations, not attributes of entities.

To do that you will have to use the Move command, then select ToLayer.

There was a huge discussion about this long ago.
