As Tony indicated, you can not change the behavior of the left-hand menus. However, I assume you are referring to the Measures icon on the Edit toolbar. If so, locate the file draw.dtb (usually located in <DataCAD Home>\support files\toolbars) and open it in NotePad. At the end of the file, change the following:

Code: Select all[MEASURE]
Hint=Measure drawing entities and perform take-offs
Icon=DTB_Measure
L=26

To:

Code: Select all[MEASURE]
Hint=Measure between 2 points
Icon=DTB_Measure
A=^:^F7^F4^

David, I did not see you reply prior to mine.

I opened the file you referred to. There was no [Measure] as you indicate.

So I added:

[MEASURE]
Hint=Measure between 2 points
Icon=DTB_Measure
A=^:^F7^ F4^

...to the end.

Still nothing

My mistake, I wrote draw.dtb and I should have specified edit.dtb. I appologize for the error on my part.

I did it and was getting the list of: 0" 1/2" 1" etc.

I noticed there was a space between the F7^ and F4 in what I pasted:

[MEASURE]
Hint=Measure between 2 points
Icon=DTB_Measure
A=^:^F7^F4^

I changed that and it works
