Is there a way to make text appear in the object viewer? I am not really sure how to make text so that it would appear 3D since I can't just give it a Z height. If there is a way, and someone can tell me, that would be great.

If you still have a version of Visual Reality from the earlier Versions of Datacad, there is a tool included as a external application that will create 3D objects from TTF's, then exports them to dxf files which you can import into Datacad.

I would post a link to download Visual Reality for free from my website, but I don't know if that would be leagal or not. If any one at Datacad knows if Visual Reality is now freely distributional or not could you let me know please. It might be now, but I ain't doing nothin' till I hear from someone who knows for sure.

Hello John:

See the DataCAD Viewlets "TrueType Font Basics" in the Support section of our web site. It's easy to create 3D text.
