Don't know if this is a 15 thing or earlier - just updated to 15 from 11 - How do I do away with the pop-up window that shows up at the end point and mid point of everything
while I am drawing. Very annoying.

On the Misc. tab of the Preferences dialog, un-check Indicator and/or Hint within the Dynamic Snapping section.
