Installing datacad 12 on my new computer that is using windows 8.1. Message indicates that the computer is lacking file hlvdd.dll. What do I do. Thanks

You can download the Hardlock drivers from our website here. Please keep in mind that DataCAD 12 has not been certified for use on Windows 8.1.

I am trying to install V11 on a new windows 8.1 computer. Did you ever have any luck installing V12 on your computer with windows 8.1? If so can you direct me in the right direction?

I think that Nick upgraded to v16: http://forum.datacad.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=14061

In explore, go to the WOW64 folder and right click on hlvdd.dll. It may state that it is linked to an unknown program. If that is the case, try the Change button to direct it to DataCAD.
This is no more than a guess so consider that first.
