Is there a way to get a symbol within an Xref to use the symbol definition (if exists) of the same symbol within the native drawing? A per xref or per symbol method would be ideal.

I don't think so. Each drawing uses the definition that is in its own file header.

That's cool and makes sense. There have been so many symbol and xref options floating around I thought I had maybe read something along these lines before but couldn't find anything searching for it. Thanks Mark.
