Hello DataCAD Pro's,

How would I align an object with another in DataCAD? For example, if I had a roof line drawn and wanted to align a row of roofing tile at the same angle, how would I go about doing so?

In AutoCAD I used to use an align command, select the line and voila, it would align the desired object exactly to the one selected. Is that possible to do in Datacad too?

Hit B to open the Tangents menu, left click on the line you want to match, and the cursor will 'tilt' to match it. Then draw what you need with Orthagonal on. To get it back to normal, hit B, then F3 to Cancel and then right click out.

One thing to watch out for with Tangents, is that whatever you have set for your SnapAngle (ie. every 30 degrees) it does NOT carry over into Tangents - you'll need to set that under the Tangents menu if you'll want the SnapAngles to match when you're drawing in that mode.
