How do you copy objects to follow a curved line? I am doing a star case in plan and need the tread to follow the curved line equally.

I have tread that are 1' in width and need to copy/offset them to follow a curved path.

In your "tool box" - you should find 3d Stairs - this should get you started - if I understand your question correctly

You can do this through the Circular Array command - unless your curve is more elliptical or free-form.
