I've had a new user ask about fractions in text and how one can pass it correctly to ACAD consultants. Although I use fractions (I compiled my own for fonts that I use regularly), I haven't ever bothered to learn the ascii codes. What I'd like to pass on is the correct method for using the extended codes and which codes apply. Also, are there more than the two shown for half and quarter?
Thanks,
Woody

Hello Woody,

In multi-lingual table, you can find the fractions using the extended characters, accessed by Alt+0000 (four numerical digits starting by a 'zero')
The fractions available are:

If you have the fractions in a TTF you can exchange it with AutoCAD. But, please pay attention: AutoCAD's TEXT font has no extended characters available, at least usually.
You must convert there also to a TrueType Font.

Above I'm using a CHR font file, HLV11-BR.CHR, which was edited to allow use of accented characters, usual among us, in portuguese and several other languages. We've got too other CHR fonts: Roman, Avg_tp, Orig and Orig2 with this extended characters.

Thanks,
Miguel
