Has anyone had the problem of the Go To Views not working? They don't seem to hold the setting from the update view. I may have a corrupt file. What is the best way to deal with that?

In the Layers menu, please make certain that Refresh is toggled On.

the refresh button is on. it tried GTV with two different computers and have the same reaction. the correct views come up only the layers don't. What do you guys do with a corrupt file?

Yes both, but will not turn on/off with GTV. I remember years ago having to save out layers as layer files and then loading them back into a new file. Is that what I need to do? Is there a macro that will do all layers at once? I sure hope so since there are quite a few layers.

OBTW I am using DataCAD 16.04.00.04. I recently updated to this version and wondering if I need to go back to the previous version.
.....and I did a layer set save and load to a new file and the problem followed me to the new file.

To clean the file and fix problems if they exists the best thing to do is to purge the file. Purging files is covered in the Datacad 17 manual on page 97, so it's probably around the same page in the v16 manual.

Purged and kept layers but not GTV. Then created new GTV in the purged file. Same problem exist. The problem must be in the file structure or one or more of the layers.

If you had the subscription plan I would say email it to tech support. I don't know what they charge now for looking at a file out of subscription.

That is why I have the subscription plan. Worth every cent, even for one drawing a year when you need a quick fix.

Also check to make sure layer set is on when you do a GTV and the toggle in the xref mgr for gtv link is on. I know in 15 it has a habit of switching the nesting and gtv link toggles in the xref mgr.

Just to close this issue, the Layer Refresh button in the GTV was not on. I thought it was as I checked it earlier but found that it wasn't. Thanks to all the contributed to helping me try to solve this issue.
