Hello DataCAD Professionals,

How would I create a break point in a solid line? For instance, I have a solid line and would like to separate it creating two individual lines or line segments.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance,
CADwk

Erase, Partial, pick line, snap at the point you want it to break at twice. Might need to add a snap point or a crossing line if the break point needs to be at a odd location before preforming the Erase Partial.

Or, one could use the break macro

Break (BREAK.ZIP, 3KB, 02/99) Get Source
Breaks a line at a given point, leaving a space in the line. The distance of the space can be defined with the macro. In addition you can also have an arc drawn at the break location to indicate one line "jumping" over another.

Set up properly as a symbol you might be able to use Knockouts as well.
