... Import a DWG without opening XRef's?

Hi,

I seem to remember a way to open a drawing and prevent XRef's from opening - can you remind me how to do this, please? We are having crashes when opening DWG files, and I wonder if they have an XRef that is preventing them from opening.

In DataCAD, you can suppress the loading of XRefs by holding down the [Ctrl] key when opening a file. Can't say that I know of a similar thing in Autocad.

We were trying to open a DWG in DataCAD, and it turned out (apparently) to be an issue of new DWG format. Mike used the program Mark mentioned at the DBUG meeting to convert them to R2010 - and then they imported without crashing DataCAD.
