I am trying to remember how to control what layers are shown in a symbol, depending on the scale?

Edit: I think I figured it out: the Minimum and Maximum scales the range when that particular layer is shown. So, to make a layer disappear in most scales, change the Maximum Scale to 1:1000 and it is not shown.

Edit the Symbol, Open the Layer Manager and you'll see min and max scale boxes at the bottom of the LM.

Thanks Roger - I tend to forget how those min / max settings work.

Just make sure your scale list will not be changing later or things will be displayed incorrectly.
