Hello all
Ten year user of DataCAD and I have always been bugged by the number of keystrokes it took to trim one line to another. I played with command line aliases but still took a number of keystrokes.
Slow winter day today and I was searching through TECH-DBUG Digest and on July 26, 2013 Roger Donaldson posted his solution:
Q^;^1016#^F9^F4^$^$^
\\ Q- Trim to one line
So I changed my DCADWIN file using Notepad and it WORKS!
Now I just press Alt-Q and get on with my trimming.
Thanks again to Roger and to the existence of this forum for solving yet another challenge for me.
By the way, if anybody has the time to explain, what is the significance of 1016# and of the $ entry?
