In AutoCAD you can select objects in a number of different ways.
One is with window crossing.
Left to right, everything enclosed in the window is selected.
Right to left, everything that the window touches is selected.

The closest thing to this in DataCAD that I can find is the area and fence command. However these just select things that are in them, not as a crossing.

Does DataCAD have this ability?

Thanks.

After you pick the first point for the Area or Fence, there is an option added to the menu, F1 - Crossing. If you hit F1, the crossing option will be turned on, which is just like Autocad's right ot left selection.

Thanks Josh.
That is just what I was looking for.

Sometimes we forget to look for the obvious. I am glad I have this forum to help me out.

Thanks again. :!:
