Importing Sketchup into DataCAD

I'm having trouble inserting some Sketchup files into DataCAD. It seems that files created in prior versions of Sketchup will insert OK but anything I have drawn in Sketchup 2016 doesn't want to insert.

Anybody else with this issue? Is there a workaround?

I was going to include the files but it appears the extension .skp is not allowed.

Joe

I don't think Sketchup 2016 support has been added in yet. I think I recall someone saying that the toolkit Datacad uses to add in the Sketchup support has not been updated yet for 2016 and they are waiting for that to be released, but don't quote me on that.

If you have Sketchup, you can save the file in 2015 format. There might be a stand alone conversion utility as well.

If all else fails, attach the file to your response and I or Bob Scott will save it for you.

Jim,

I tried your fix and it works just fine.

As always, the forum to the rescue.

Thanx to all of you who share your solutions.
