Turn Off Markers In Google / Bing Maps?

Hi,

We put locus maps on our cover sheets, and usually we do a screen capture of an online map web site. Today, I tried to do this with both Google Maps and Bing Maps (in Firefox and Explorer) and in both, there were numerous markers for restaurants, markets, museums, etc. In the past, I did not have these.

I dug through the settings, and I can't find where / how to toggle these markers off. Can anyone tell me how to do this, please?

Look for "Label" toggles. In Google maps, it turns off the street names. In Bing you can only turn them off in Aerial mode, but it also turns off the street names. I just provided feedback to both asking them to allow street names to be toggled separately, but who knows who reads those things. I know it ani't Dave!

Thank you, Josh. I ended up using https://www.openstreetmap.org which still has labels, but the graphics are better. And you can download the screen image, rather than doing a screen capture.
