Is there a way to import 3d solids (dwg) into Datacad V21?
It's the same as importing any DWG (or DXF etc.) - Pick File/Import, the available files on the window pulldown should show DXF, DWG, AEC - then pick your file to import. If the file includes 3D entities they will import.
You can also drag and drop the dwg file from a Windows File Explorer into an open DataCAD drawing.
If you go to the Tools/Program Preferences/DXF/DWG tab will also allow you to preset the import/export settings.

Thanks Mark
I think I found the solution. I was trying to import a 3D model from FormZ. The solution was to Toggle Off Export Facetted Objects as ACIS Objects in FormZ. The model now imported Ok.
