I hatched a square with SPB Fill. I want to now change the color to say red vs. blue. Without deleting and starting over, how can I change the color of the polyline? The normal Change\Color is not the correct method. Thanks in advance for the help,
Gene

Gene,

It all depends on how the settings of the SPB Fill is done. Is the fill color by Entity or selected within the SPB Fill Settings? To determine the selection, double click the SPB Fill, this should bring up the Polyline Properties. Select "Change" under Fill Settings. This will bring up the Select Fill Color/Pattern dialog box. If the Fill Color "Entity" box is unchecked, click on the small rectangle next to "Entity" to select the color. If Fill Color is checked go back to the Polyline Properties and select the Color near the top of the list of options.

Note: By using Color by Entity option in the SPB Fill, colors can be changed by using the typical change menu.

As with just about everything with DataCAD, there are multiple ways to do things. The method I use is to set up the Fill selection to the new color you want and then use the Entity choice to click on the existing colored fill to make it the new fill color. The Fill function will treat the filled area as a polyline and one click with Entity will change that "polyline" to the new color.

Most of the time, I will outline an area I wanted filled using the Polyline function. I then go back and use the Fill function to fill in that polyline area and set the color I want in the Fill setup.
