Bitmap won't place in my drawing

Bitmap won't place - I select Bitmap from the Insert Menu and select the jpg image from my desktop/folder. DataCAD asks me to click the first insertion point which I do, but then when it prompts me to select the second insertion point it doesn't place when I click. I have tried clicking, snapping, large and small size but that second click won't take... what am I missing?
