Rotating Dimension Text

After all of these years I have finally plucked up the courage to ask - How does the angle for dimension text work when changing dimension text position? When I select an angle it usually doesn't result in the text direction that I want and find that its usually trial and error to get the desired result.

It's based on what you have set in the Settings, Angle Type, Compass menu for North/O and what you have set for clockwise or counterclockwise in the Angle type menu if you are using Normal. If you are using another Angle type, it would be similar. You can click a point in the drawing to start a line and drag your cursor and look at the a: value in the menu to see the angle.
