Hi,
I wonder if anyone can give me some guidance...

When I open the layer manager and try to work on a drawing, it make the harp noise - you know the one that is Microsoft's way of saying Hey - you can't do that! The only way I can work on the drawing is to close the LM. It didn't used to be this way - I had worked with it consistently open without difficulty. I guess I changed something, but I have no idea what that might have been. Can anyone help?

When it starts dinging, try using ALT+TAB to switch to a possible hidden message like Chris mentioned.

Thanks for the input. I'm using V22.00.01(SE). I ended up solving the problem that I created for myself. Somehow, I accidentally un-clicked the 'keep layer manager open' box. When I put the check mark back, all has become normal.
