Z height for sloping lines

Can I draw a line with different Z heights on each end? Like for a sloping concrete slab or a rafter.

I think that would be under the 3d menu with a 3d line.

Yes, 3D lines can be found in the 3D Menus. Click the Edit S8 3D Menus button to load the 3D menus, and they are found in the 3D Entity menu at F1. If you are just getting started with 3D, you may want to check out Chapters 6, 20-25 of the Reference Manual for 3D modeling info. The manual for your version can be downloaded from datacad.com if you need it. Also working thru the schoolhouse tutorial is a good primer.

You mentioned rafters in your post, so also add chapter 27 of the manual to Josh's list. This deals with the Frameit Macro that can be used to model rafters (as well as wall and floor framing)...
