I have discovered that if I copy and paste the template and symbol files from dcad plus into dcad 11 and then change the suffix of the symbols from .sm6 to .dsf I am able to use the templates in dcad 11.

Is there a quicker way to convert the symbols to .dsf rather than renaming individually?

Just use the Symbol browser in DataCAD 11, it will open Plus symbols. It's easier than using templates, because in Plus the Sym folder seemed to be better organized for its time.

You don't need to move the Sym directory anywhere unless you want to.
