I was having trouble seeing some line colors using a projector at a meeting, the suggestion elsewhere on the forum was to go to white background, and use black lines for all by just switching the color palette. With the potential for 255 colors, it looks like I'd need to change them all to 255/255/255. Is there an easier way that to edit each one to white? It looks like some drag/drop ability on the color palette would be nice. For revisions, to get smooth blends, do you just do the math & edit each manually? or is there an easier way to revise 255 color blocks? :?:

Hello Dwight:

I would first try just switching to a while background, and see how that works? Frankly, with just a few exceptions (which depend mostly on your monitor/projector), I have found that colors that work well in the white background -- also work great with a black background.

So, if you switch to a white background, and tweak the yellow, brown, and green (at least), and save that RGB file (Projector.RGB ?), I'll bet this is all you need. Are you using all 255 colors? Do you have the projector set to 16bit color?

After that, if you still need to change all the colors to black, then you can do this most easily by editing the RGB file in a text editor. Just mimic the format, and paste all the colors as 255, 255, 255.

Here's my tweaked RGB that works very well on a white background:

0 0 0 Color_0
0 0 0 Black
255 0 0 Red
0 139 20 Green
0 0 255 Blue
0 170 170 Cyan
170 0 170 Magenta
195 91 0 Brown
170 170 170 Lt Grey
100 100 100 Dk Grey
255 131 141 Lt Red
85 255 85 Lt Green
123 148 247 Lt Blue
85 255 255 Lt Cyan
255 85 255 Lt Mgta
225 172 0 Yellow

[edit] just the first bits are my custom colors -- the rest are the same as yours...[/edit]

It's a good place to start, anyway! :o You can Copy & Paste it into NotePad...

I have 19 different rgb files in my DataCAD/Support Files folder. I think most of these came up from earlier versions but few were of my own creation. Almong these is allblack.rgb. Look around on your hard drive to see if there are other rgb files you can load before taking on the task of maually editing to create another. If you can't find anything, I would be glad to email you what I've got here.
