is there a way to find the surface area of a 3D roof? It would be really helpful

Hello John,

In next free update (11.07.00) a new feature will be available, with the measurement of the surface of a polygon (inclined or not) when used the "Identify" menu.
It is not entirely what you are requesting, but this feature can be a sign to other improvements that can be added in the future.

In DataCAD 11 , select 3d Menus, select 3d Entitiy, select Polygons, you'll find surface area at S5. Just pick the polygon you want the area of using EGAFMS.
