I have an issue I can't seem to resolve. We are a homebuilder who builds in the 2006 IRC regular and coastal high wind zones. We recently started outside the wind zone so I need to 'break apart' my plans. I need two sets of structural plans for the same basic floor plan. We used self XREF's to screen our plan for ceiling joist plans, etc. Now, when we are trying to set up a seperate drawing file for structural sheets, we keep getting circular reference messages. Also, our plan was to load the structural layers into the primary plan in a site specific 'save as' of the master plan files so we can mirror and change. If we make xref's to the master file then the will not be part of the new file, but linked to the original file instead. Somebody have a way to do this??
