Greetings to you all. I have just upgraded to D16. My issue is with the Dimension/Linear/Dim Style/OFFSET button. I would like to position the dimensions dynamically without specifying the distance away from the drawing the extended dimension lines begin? I noticed previous versions of Datacad did not have this offset button. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Tony:

The Offset button has been there as long as I can remember. However, it is hidden if you toggle on DIN Std. If you want to manually control the offset of the dimension line, toggle off FixdDist.

Dave

I have tried all you suggested but the dimension lines at each end still extend back to the drawing. In D15 I was able to set the overlap to be the same on both above and below the offset.

Have you toggled on DIN Std?
