OK, is this an ask or a tell?

I have a toolbar icon for that but without the $s

I added ^$^$^ but I don't think it made any difference. The dashed line stays on screen until I right click.

Works for me and has since Version XXX. The dashed line stays until a right click

The first $ picks the line, and the second $ picks the outside.

I don't think this is the issue - this latest version of v16 is the first I've seen this behavior. I've used this macro for at least a decade.
