Hi Guys
Whilst trying to Assign materials in Rendering settings, Datacad gives an error report-Internal diagnostics Fault 17 error 73- and shuts down. Is this telling me my software is corrupted, and if so
am I able to repair. My CD seems to be corrupt also, so I will need to redownload somehow. Maybe MM can advise me

What material were you attempting to assign? To what entities? By layer or by color?

Have you tried assigning the same material in a new drawing file?

Try using the "Layer Sets" function in the "Layers" menu to save out a set of layers from this drawing, and then load that set into a new, blank drawing. If the drawing contains corrupted information, then this should correct it.
