I have a draftsman using an older microstation machine. We are close to being able to communicate seamlessly; however, there are still a few items that need resolving:
1. Best way to translate line-types. Should I just set up a file when importing and/or exporting that will change the linetypes?
2. Same as 1 above except for assigning colors to layers.
3. For some reason many of the symbol attributes are lost when imported by microstation... Is there a special setting, or should I just explode them. (For instance, on wall section I use a symbol with a Letter/Numer inside that refers to a schedule.)
4. Symbols lose their colors as originally defined... Is the solution same as in 2 above?
5. Hatching - the hatching when imported in microstation converts to individual lines - is there a toggle or should I just not hatch when exporting?
thanks for any help - there may be other issues that I'm not aware of yet.
