When I open the "program preferences" dialogue box, it is too high on the screen. When I try to adjust it it won't move. Normally you need to drag on the top ribbon to move a box in Windows. In this case the top ribbon is not viewable so I can't move it.

Try hitting the following key sequence.

Alt, Space Bar, M, Down Arrow Key, then drag the mouse to move the dialog box where you want it.

Hum...I tried that and although the move symbol appeared it did not move the dialogue box.

Try holding Ctrl+Shift when opening the dialog to force it back to the center.
