Is there some sort of way to import (or other means) a .pdf file onto a drawing...say as a symbol or something? Reason: The new building code here says I need to call out brace wall panels on my drawings. I also need to show details of such panels on my drawings. To save time of drawing them (details) all up, I was hoping just to save the details out of the code book as a .pdf (which it allows me to do online) and somehow "paste" them onto a floor plan drawing.

1. Open the file in Acrobat Reader (or other similar program)
Using the Camera (edit, Take a snapshot) Select tool, select an rectangular area of the detail that you want.
Now in Dcad, Select Edit Paste Special Bitmap Image, give it a name (remember where you put it)
Define the rectangular area in Dcad
You might then need to enlarge if it needs to be to scale.

2. There is a PDF to DWG program out there that might change the pdf to dwg that you could then insert.

Some 3rd-party utilities also allow you to convert a .pdf-file to a .jpeg.

You can then insert the .jpeg into the Datcad drawing-file.
