Unable to write to DCADWin.Ini

I have just tried to install V17 on a clean drive under Windows 7. I have been out of action for some time and running DataCad on various laptops since my desktop died. I have not encountered any problems with installation.

After this installation, I get the message3

ExceptionEIniFileException in module dcadwin, exe at 0007AEA9.
Unable to write to D:\DataCad 17\DCADWin.Ini

I have made another attempt at reinstalling with the same result. I believe my procedure for installing is normal, and surely the same as I used on a laptop last week. The INI file is in its proper place. The problem happens after I enter the license and password> I can't tell if this is a a DataCad installation problem or a Windows problem. I rather suspect the latter.

I said.....

I think that might be right. I had grief editing a TXT file with my license codes etc on it, and it looks like I had a security wit6h the entire partition, even though the E: drive is OK. Anyway, it looks like DCad is up and running, and I leave this up as a lesson for the other youngsters.....
