what is the purpose for the temporary burn folder that you can save as when you select export? and can i use this to save all my files to while i upgrade to windows 10?
That temporary burn folder is something on your computer, it's not part of Datacad. You can save to any location you want we exporting as far as Datacad is concerned. Even though the Windows 10 upgrade process has not failed on any of the 20+ systems I've done so far, it's always good to do a backup of everything you wouldn't want to loose before the update. Should be backing up this stuff already any way right?
