Is there a method of copy to layer to remember the last fence (?polyline) to define the area for multiple copies.
Copying 1st floor to 2nd floor of a middle area of plan, but need to do copies for many layers, walls, doors, plumbing, etc.

No, I usually just copy it to the clipboard and paste to each layer.

You guys are way ahead of me but could you use a selection set to do that?

I would imagine so. Honestly I never really got into using Selection Sets. Grouping is usually enough for me as my plans are pretty simple usually.

Selection Sets work for entities on more than one layer, while Groups work on one layer. Clipboard is easier than Selection Sets, though - unless you need to repeat it a long time later.

How about the list of recent Clipboards?

True David - I use the multiple Clipboards ALL THE TIME. And for that reason, they do work during a given day (or so) but Selection Sets stay with a drawing always.
