Drawing Slabs Using Get Snap

Does anyone know whether Get Snap can be used when drawing slabs. If so what is the trick to getting Get Snap to work.
For some reason I cannot get it to work.
Get Snap works fine in other situations.
Restarting the PC makes no difference.

It's working here as far as I can tell with X&Y using Rel Cart. Can you take a screen shot of what you were trying to do and where your start point is and what you are trying to snap to with which command?

I am using Relative Cartesian.
In the attached example I am trying to create point D using Get Snap Y at A.

Ahhh gotcha. I don't think it will work snapping to the beginning of the entity you are in the process of creating.
