MText Dialog Font Height/Size

In the MText dialog, the height/size drops down with seemingly random sizes that don't seem to relate to anything and we can't input the correct size. Why can't we input the size text we want here? I know I've asked this before, but I couldn't find where I've seen an answer on this, so sorry if it's been previously answered.
