Anyone have any recommendations for an easy to use 3-D rendering program that works well with DataCad 18?

Sketchup or Sketchup Pro. DataCAD can import and export to and from Sketchup.

Thanks Jim. One more question, is Sketchup relatively "easy" to use?

About as easy as it gets. There is a huge and very friendly community of users and resources to help get you up to speed.

No-one using Datacad should be without Sketch-up's professional-version...and Layout. You just have to remember to use the power of "groups" and components; and not think in "layers" as in Datacad.

I use SU-Layout for conceptuals as-well-as construction documentation and presentations; combining elements from Datacad, Sketch-up and annotations in Layout itself. You can also drop-in graphics from Paint or PS Elements.

DataCAD's Visual Reality Suite which I think came bundled with DataCAD 8, complete with manuals and tutorials. It still works on 64-bit pc's and supports animation too. Very simple and easy to use....if you can find a copy.

It's right under the Windows-95 Manual. ...Although I know people who are still running networked Windows-XP PCs in their professional practice.
