A co-worker received an newsletter from a engineering software company and in it it said that due to a lawsuit a law was passed to make all US building codes available to the public. I don't know the details or even where to check out the facts but they posted this link that has a big reciprocity of building codes ready to download.

And for those of us in California, here's the link for the 2007 CBC, 2010 CBC, 2010 CalGREEN, 2010 CFC, and 2010 CRC:
http://publicecodes.citation.com/st/ca/st/index.htm

For the 2007 and 2010 CPC, CMC and CEC you have to download PDF's (individual chapters, appendix's, etc.) - start here and follow the links:

For those in New Jersey, The New Jersey-specific NJ-IRC and NJ-IBC codes that include the technical amendments are online on the NJ-DCA Codes and Standards web-site. Also the New Jersey Rehabilitation Subcode for existing buildings, and the NJ Barrier-free Subcode.

The California codes that were originally scanned in have been updated with new searchable, hyperlink enabled PDF's. They are smaller (2MB vs. 60+MB) load and run much faster. A quick compare with our supplements looks like the supplements are not in these so take them for what they are. :? The last time these were updated I had sent an email to someone I had tracked down who was working on the project to ask them about the supplements and how they were to be implemented, but never got a response.

For all California codes (except Plumbing, Mechanical or Electrical) you can access them here: http://publicecodes.citation.com/st/ca/st/index.htm

These online codes have all of the current updates within them, too - but you have to do cut 'n paste if you need any part as a hard-copy.
