Hi Rick,

Where are your symbols located - on a local hard drive, or on a network drive? What is happening when you click on the Folder button?

symbols are on the local hard drive - when I click on the folder icon you will see briefly that it is searching then disappears and locks program till you press enter- I can open recent folders just cannot go to a new one.

Rick,

It sounds like the browse window may be opening off-screen. When you click Folder, hold down the [Shift]+[Ctrl] keys. This will force the browse dialog to open in its default position.

I thought in the Symbol browser, you could use the scroll wheel on the mouse to scroll up/down with the cursor in the middle of the browser window?
Is there an .INI setting that controls this?

I think you have to left click in the box to get this to happen?

Left click brings up a dialog box. I just want to scroll down the browser window to see other symbols.

Are you hovering the cursor over the Symbol Browser?

yes in the middle, over the symbols, and also tried over the scroll arrows.
Tried it with all combinations of ctrl alt shift keys down.

Is the Symbol Browser docked, or is it floating on a secondary monitor?

It scrolls both undocked on my second monitor, and docked inside the main DataCAD window. It is slightly balky, but it scrolls.

Does this happen with a folder of simple symbols, or are you working with some large complex symbols?

Generally have it set for drawing, not folder. But tried some basic dcad provide symbols, still scroll no more.
