Old Files
Posted: Thu Feb 16, 2017 7:04 pmI am about to install my DataCAD 19 (upgrade from 14). What precautions should I take to make sure I can access old files. Most of mine are 14, but have some as far back as 5.

Posted: Fri Feb 17, 2017 1:36 amThey should all open up just fine. You will have to use the File Type drop down when opening Datacad v5-10 files to set it to DC5 extension, but that's not changed since v14.

Posted: Thu Jul 13, 2017 8:26 amOn thing to know is that the Go To View types have changed. I Believe this was changed in Release 13. If you use the short cut "V" to get your Go To Views, nothing will show in releases prior to the change. You need to press CTRL + F12 to get the old views. From there you can convert them to the new 3D Views.
