grid display - OFF

This probably exists in some string from 15 years back but is there a way to invert the default for grid display (ie. make display off the default? ) doesn't appear to be an option in the INI file ...I never use the visible grid so everytime I make a new layer I have to turn it off...gets old...

A couple of points: you should download the Toolbox macro called GridLock, and use it to turn off (or set all grid settings) to what you want.
Second point is to change your default drawing.

thanks Neil...and yes I should just change the default drawing...just like changing at the interface level if possible: ) Will check out the toolbox recommendation.
