I am sure this has been discussed in the past, but can't find the solution...
I still have problems occasionally when I modify symbols. The updated symbols still show up incorrectly in the drawing where the symbol was corrected. I have tried regenerating, reloading, purging symbols, etc... but nothing seems to work. I open a new file and the symbol is correct, but the original file is still wrong. I have also tried editing the symbol for the particular drawing, but it just doesn't regenerate properly... What am I not doing correctly?

Could the path have changed or there are two versions of the same symbol in the drawing?

I would try reloading (or replacing?) the symbol.

Did you rename the symbol after editing it?
