Is there any way to get the dimension line to show correctly when you mirror a symbol?

Sure - Control/Right Click on the symbol, and select Fix Text on the menu.

I had tried that and it did not work. Is there a certain way to do the dimension to begin with so when you mirror the symbol is appears correctly?

I missed that you have a dimension in the symbol - is it a associative dim, or exploded?

I tried the dimension both associated and exploded in the symbol. It made no difference.

Can you post a screenshot of before and after of what you are seeing? Also have you tried it in a new empty file?

Here you go. When you mirror it the text whether it is associated or exploded the text on the mirrored copy appears below the line instead of above it.
