Is there an easy way to 3D orbit with live regeneration... Something that operates similar to whats used in the Door and Window type Managers with an additional Zoom capability?

Under the 3D Views menu:
Everything seems pretty jumpy and not intuitive.
ViewSphere seems pretty archaic and doesnt really work properly for creating architectural views.

Is there a better way? Something smoother than whats listed under "Controls"?

Thanks!

Have you tried View, Object Viewer ( [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [R] )?

Object Viewer works great! Is there a way to dynamically control the center of the orbit/zoom independently of the drawing's Absolute Origin? Rotating around individual objects far away from the origin would be easier if this were possible.

Thanks!

Also, the ability to leave Object Viewer active while working in the model would be helpful. having Live updates would be a positive feature.

The Object Viewer will always use the extents of your model to determine the default center of view. One setting that can throw off the model's extents is enabling a Shader Light. In o2c, a light source has to be associated with a 3D polygon. In the 3D Edit, Shader menu, check to see if any of the Light toggles are on. Toggle them off and re-launch the viewer to see if that helps.

You can also launch a sub-set of your model into the Object Viewer by selecting the entities you want to see first. Press [Ctrl] + [E], which is the shortcut for Clipboard Select. Select the items you want by Entity, Group, Area, or Fence. Then launch the viewer. Only the selected items will be included. In the Object Viewer you can right-click on the image and select Reset View to re-center the view.
