symbol scale

I brought up an old drawing and saved it as new to edit it and create a new plan . Everything was working normally until I went to insert a saved symbol. It came in at a humongous scale. Can't figure out how to rectify this. It would seem that some setting got changed, but I don't know what. Any ideas?

Symbol Scale might be turned on. This option is available at S5 after you have selected the symbol to insert.

Thanks for the reply, Roger. Yeah, I had tried that. Strange, when I insert the symbol, it comes in 9 times the size that it should be. I tried another symbol, and it also came in super sized.
Just don't get it.

I assume you have also checked the symbol in large isn't set to nine?

I meant symbol enlarge, the setting at F4 after you have selected the symbol to insert.
