At one time I knew how to type odd symbols like centerline, property line or plate, square foot, etc. but have forgotten it. I seem to remember hitting the alt key and a sequence of numbers on the number keys to get them but can not get it to work now. Does anyone know how to do this?

Mark Toce (quite a while ago .. 2008?) had created an AEC file called "Character Map" which would show the special symbols (whatever was available) when you changed the font and posted it to the forum. PM me if you'd like me to send it to you.

I keep a copy of page 603 from the Reference Manual next to my screen.

I finally figured it out Use the text function dynamic, press alt and keys 0,1,4 and another number to get the abbreviation text. 3 would get you centerline which would be C with an L going thru it. You also have to be using Datacad text for it to work.

The extended characters Neil posted only work for some fonts. Below is a list of the extended characters for the listed fonts.
