Dimension

I've always thought it would be nice to have a "scale factor" on dimensions, so if I'm dimensioning an x-ref that is enlarged, I could put altered dimensions directly there instead of needing to put them into the x-ref file on another layer. How do others do this? I know I can do non-associative, read the distance and modify as needed, and I know the advantage of association is gone if the dimensions are in one file and the drawing is in another.
Still, seems a scale multiplier would be handy in some situations.

What I do is use Multiscale Plotting. Then you can "enlarge" the XRef by just setting the plot scale I want, and then just use associative dimensions.
