I can't find it. Tried control right click on the symbol----symbol tools-----nothing about symbol layer manager. What am I missing?

What is your setting under
Insert/Symbol Layer Control?

It is defaulted to none. Must be the problem. Which setting do you suggest? Thanks for the help.

I prefer to use Per Instance, that way you can have individual symbols with unique layers on/off, but if you want all of the symbols to display the same you can also do that by checking the Apply To All Instances when making changes in the Symbol layer Manager. Kind of the best of both worlds.

You should also notice the menus change when you're inserting the symbols so that symbol layer manager can be opened upon select placing the symbol
